WRD Retirees Newsletter

The WRD Retirees Newsletter is critical to our mission -- "keeping members in touch with each other and their former agency". Many retirees believe it is the most informative and important of all our communications efforts. A copy of the Newsletter is sent to each of our members, plus a copy is provided to more than 200 USGS offices throughout the country. We are committed to delivering the highest quality and most interesting Newsletter possible.

We know you enjoy reading about your fellow retirees. Please take a few minutes putting together an update on your activities for the "News of Retirees" section of the next Newsletter. Send your "News" via email to jeb393@verizon.net or by US Mail to 40782 Woodside Pl., Leesburg, VA 20175.

Get your Newsletter sooner and in full color! Have your copy delivered by email or use the WRDRetirees web page.

The WRD Retirees Newsletter is distributed using US mail, email and our web page. Of 1,400 members, nearly 950 receive the Newsletter electronically, most by email. This full color version is delivered by email or web page viewing -- much sooner than the US Mail version. The WRD Retirees Newsletter is a much more attractive document in full color -- the retirees look better in color! We also distribute about 250 copies of each Newsletter to USGS offices through our web page. However, to receive the Newsletter electronically requires a personal computer connected to the Internet and according to information in our Directory about ½ of our members don’t yet have that. But there are still some WRD Retirees who have a personal computer connected to the Internet but do not yet receive the Newsletter electronically. If you are one of those retirees, please consider having your Newsletter delivered by email. Thanks!

There are two ways we can get your Newsletter to your faster and in full color.

1. Send us your email address and we will send you each edition electronically. Simply send an email to Kate Flynn at wrdretirees@gmail.com and she will add your name to the list.
2. Read it on this website. (See the list on the right.) We will send you an email -- with a link to the website -- when the newsletter is placed online each quarter. Again, just send an email to Kate at wrdretirees@gmail.com requesting to receive your copy this way.

Receiving the Newsletter electronically is faster, in full color, saves costs to WRD Retirees for printing and distributing the Newsletter and reduces the burden of WRD Retiree volunteers who distribute the Newsletter. Please help WRD Retirees and sign up for the electronic version of the Newsletter. Thanks!
